How to get rid of old paint in Gaston County
Oil-based paint goes to Gaston County’s household hazardous waste collection days at 200 Leisure Lane, Dallas, four Saturdays a year from 8 to 11:30 a.m. (in 2026: March 7, May 16, Sept. 12, and Nov. 14). Latex paint can go there too, or to the landfill by appointment (call 704-922-7729), or you can dry it out with kitty litter and put it in the trash.
