Jackson County rules

  • Jackson County’s sites don’t take hazardous or liquid waste, regulated medical waste, unpackaged sharps, railroad ties, asbestos, or anything with refrigerant, such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers.
  • Building materials, yard waste and brush, asphalt from homes, commercial mattresses, and business recycling go to the transfer station on Mineral Springs Drive, which charges a tipping fee for building materials and yard waste. Haulers must be in, unloaded, and out by closing time.
