What it takes

Marion County’s other recycling center takes the same items.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Marion County rules

  • Marion County picks up household trash at the roadside for a monthly fee: $22 a month for one cart, $44 for two, or $264 a year for one cart, since Aug. 1, 2026 (cash, check, or money order). Its two recycling centers take recyclables only, no glass, and the county landfill doesn’t take household trash. Roadside pickup doesn’t take yard waste; the county suggests composting it at home.
