What it takes

Pickens County’s other seven convenience centers take the same items.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Pickens County rules

  • Every Pickens County solid waste facility, the recycling centers and the landfill, requires a county decal. Get one at the Pickens County Administration Facility or the landfill.
  • No commercial vehicles, box trucks, enclosed trailers, or trailers over 10 feet at the recycling centers; larger trailers go to the landfill. The centers take no brick, block, concrete, rock, or dirt, and no more than one wheelbarrow load of shingles, brush, or yard debris. Businesses take their tires to the landfill.
