What it takes
It’s one of eight Bedford County convenience centers that take appliances, electronics, and some brush. The Bedford County Waste Management Facility takes tires, mattresses, some paint, construction debris, used motor oil, and household hazardous waste.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Bedford County rules
- The convenience centers are for Bedford County residents, including the Town of Bedford; have proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, if asked. Businesses can’t use them. Drop-off sites take bagged household trash only; large loads, building materials, tires, mattresses, and appliances with Freon go to the Waste Management Facility.
