Campbell County rules
- All Campbell County residents, including those in Altavista and Brookneal, drop off household waste free at the county’s centers, up to a pickup truck bed (about 60 cubic feet) a day. Bigger loads, shingles, dead animals, and commercial waste go to the Region 2000 landfill.
- At the Region 2000 landfill, Campbell County and Lynchburg residents get 500 pounds free each calendar month; past that, and for yard waste and shingles, the commercial rate applies. Clean, separated loads of dirt, brick, block, and concrete without rebar are free.
