Stafford County convenience centers and dump hours
Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers the Belman Road Convenience Center and the Rappahannock Regional Landfill. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- The R-Board’s landfill and Belman Road center are for residents of Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg, hauling their own household waste in their own vehicles; a driver’s license, utility bill, or tax receipt shows residency. A visit is $6 at the landfill, or one coupon ($50 for a book of 10) or an annual pass ($140 a calendar year, two a household, one vehicle each). The Belman Road center takes only coupons and passes.
- Recycling is free. Single-stream recycling drop-offs at the landfill, the Belman Road center, the Rowser Building (1739 Jefferson Davis Highway), and Gayle Middle School take bottles, cans, glass, paper, and cardboard.
Convenience centers
- The Belman Road center doesn’t take mattresses, box springs, commercial vehicles, U-Hauls, cargo vans, or trailers longer than 8 feet. Those go to the landfill, where oversized loads cost $10 to $20 more and aren’t covered by a pass.
