What it takes

It’s the only place in Stafford County that takes tires, mattresses, some paint, and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Stafford County rules

  • The R-Board’s landfill and Belman Road center are for residents of Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg, hauling their own household waste in their own vehicles; a driver’s license, utility bill, or tax receipt shows residency. A visit is $6 at the landfill, or one coupon ($50 for a book of 10) or an annual pass ($140 a calendar year, two a household, one vehicle each). The Belman Road center takes only coupons and passes.
  • Recycling is free. Single-stream recycling drop-offs at the landfill, the Belman Road center, the Rowser Building (1739 Jefferson Davis Highway), and Gayle Middle School take bottles, cans, glass, paper, and cardboard.
