Bay County convenience centers and dump hours
Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers the Bayline Drive Public Participation Center and the Steelfield Road Landfill. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- The county runs no garbage pickup. Many cities collect their own, and unincorporated Bay County is served by licensed private haulers.
Convenience centers
- The Bayline Drive center takes only small loads of household garbage and trash from Bay County residents, dumped from a raised platform into an attended dumpster: $5 a visit, or a $50 punch card good for 26 visits of under 300 pounds each from your own home. Large loads, bulky items, and commercial waste go to the Steelfield Road Landfill.

Landfills
- Steelfield Road Landfill rates for 2026: $39.35 a ton for household garbage, yard debris, construction debris, and appliances, $5 at least; $20 more for each refrigerated appliance; $5 for an uncovered load. Waste from outside Bay County pays double, $78.70 a ton. Household garbage, furniture, boats, and construction debris go in one area; yard debris, tires, and appliances each go in their own.
- Bay County holds Waste Amnesty Days in the spring and fall, when the Steelfield Road Landfill waives its fee for residents’ trash, appliances, and trees.
