- Hernando County waste only, from homes and businesses; by weight. Homes that pay the solid waste assessment; $5 or $15 a visit.
- Pesticides, pool and cleaning chemicals, solvents, and mercury thermostats go to the Main Landfill only; the convenience centers take paint, oil, fluorescent bulbs up to 4 feet, and batteries. All three take sharps in an approved container or heavy plastic bottle, and unwanted non-narcotic medicines.
