Putnam County convenience centers and dump hours

Northeast Florida, on Eastern time

Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers two convenience centers and the Putnam County Central Landfill. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more

Before you go

  • Everyone using the Central Landfill or the collection centers needs a driver’s license or photo ID and proof of residency in their own name (a tax bill, a license with the address, a utility bill, or a lease). Commercial loads pay commercial rates, whatever the vehicle. Cash and checks are taken everywhere, cards only at the Central Landfill.
  • Each week, the county takes up to 5 gallons each of household hazardous waste, used motor oil, and gas, and 10 fluorescent bulbs.

Convenience centers

  • The Huntington and Interlachen collection centers take residents’ household garbage free; yard trash and construction debris are $10 a cubic yard for residents and $15 for businesses, $5 at least, with no free allowance there.
