Hazardous waste collection days in Georgia

Georgia has few places that take household hazardous waste. State and federal law let you put it in your household trash once it's solid, since garbage trucks can't take liquids: the state suggests using up or giving away leftovers, and drying out paint and other liquids with cat litter first. CHaRM in Atlanta and Athens takes many hazardous items for a fee, and some counties hold one-day collections.
