What it takes
It’s the only place in Floyd County that takes appliances. The Walker Mountain Landfill takes tires, mattresses, brush, and construction debris.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Floyd County rules
- Floyd County Public Works picks up limbs, trunks, and shrubs up to 12 feet long at the road by appointment: free under 3 cubic yards once every 90 days, $100 for 3 to 10 cubic yards, $150 for more. Call 706-236-2495. Not for City of Rome residents.
