What it takes

It’s the only place in Durham County that takes some paint and household hazardous waste. The Waste Disposal and Recycling Center takes tires, appliances, and electronics. The Northern Durham Convenience Site and the Parkwood Convenience Site take mattresses.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

  • The county’s Redwood Convenience Site at 100 Electra Road is closed for renovation. Use the Northern or Parkwood site.
