Chesterfield County rules
- Chesterfield County’s seven convenience centers take household garbage and recyclables from homes, not businesses: leaving business waste at one is illegal. Bag all garbage for the compactor. Plastic bottles, cans, and cardboard can go in together.
- The county’s Burn Site landfill takes only land-clearing debris: soil, sand, gravel, rock, logs, stumps, brush, and root mats, at $25 a ton.
