What it takes

It’s one of three Chesterfield County convenience centers that take tires.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Chesterfield County rules

  • Chesterfield County’s seven convenience centers take household garbage and recyclables from homes, not businesses: leaving business waste at one is illegal. Bag all garbage for the compactor. Plastic bottles, cans, and cardboard can go in together.
  • The county’s Burn Site landfill takes only land-clearing debris: soil, sand, gravel, rock, logs, stumps, brush, and root mats, at $25 a ton.
