How to get rid of old batteries in the City of Norfolk
Lithium and car batteries go to the household hazardous waste drop-off at the SPSA Norfolk Transfer Station on Tuesdays and Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m.; never in the trash or recycling. Lowe’s (1081 N Military Hwy) and The Home Depot (1261 N Military Hwy) also take rechargeable batteries.
