Morgan County convenience centers and dump hours
Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers 10 convenience centers, the Newborn Road Center, the Morgan County Transfer Station, and the Morgan County Recycling Center. Each one’s posted hours are below, with the rules that apply.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- Morgan County’s attended recycling center at the transfer station takes broken-down cardboard, glass, #1 and #2 plastics, and aluminum cans. Its other recycling center, on Newborn Road, keeps the same hours and takes cardboard; the county says it’s adding #1 and #2 plastics and glass there.Morgan County’s solid waste page says every compactor site has recycling boxes for cardboard, paper, and aluminum cans; its recycling page says those boxes are being removed, leaving recycling at the two recycling centers.
Convenience centers
- County residents can leave bagged household trash free at the 12 compactor sites, one of them at the transfer station; everything else goes to the transfer station. Leave nothing on the ground, and don’t climb into the dumpsters: the compactors start and stop on their own.
